NOVI, MI – More than two dozen celebrities will be spending time in Michigan this weekend and you can meet them. There are “Hocus Pocus” and “Doctor Who” reunions and even the “Mistress of the Dark,” herself, will be in town.
They are among some famous faces coming to Michigan’s biggest comic con, Motor City Comic con, taking place at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi from Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16. Tickets for Motor City Comic Con can be purchased here.
This is the first time in more than a decade Motor City Comic Con will have a second show in the same year. The first of 2022 took place this past May. Check out the best cosplayers we saw there, and here’s Two dozen photos of celebrities from the event.
Meantime, here’s a look at some of the biggest names attending this weekend.
LAURIE HOLDEN

You know this actress as Andrea from the AMC drama series “The Walking Dead.” You also know Holden from “The X-Files,” “The Shield” and “The Boys.” Holden will be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans at Motor City Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday.

Detroit’s own, The “Godfather of Shock Rock” will be at Motor City Comic Con all three days.
JAMES “MURR” MURRAY

You know this funny guy as one of the four members of The Tenderloins, a comedy troupe known for their hit hidden camera show, “Impractical Jokers.” “Murr” will be at Motor City Comic Con all three days.

Wrestling fans will immediately recognize this living legend. The WWE Hall of Famer will be at Motor City Comic Con all three days.
LORETTA SWIT & JAMIE FARR

You can meet this actress best know for her role as Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan on “M*A*S*H.” She will be at the event all three days with fellow “M*A*S*H” co-star, Jamie Farr, who played Corporal Maxwell Q. Klinger on the show. He will also be at Motor City Comic Con on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
ALAINA HUFFMAN
You know this actress for her role as Abaddon in “Supernatural.” You also saw her in “Stargate Universe,” “Painkiller Jane” and “Smallville.” She will be at Motor City Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday.
“HOCUS POCUS” REUNION
Three of the stars of this 1993 classic “Halloween” movie will be at Motor City Comic Con all three days. Vinessa Shaw played Allison, Omri Katz played Max and Jason Marsden played Thackery.
“DOCTOR WHO” REUNION
Fans of this sci-fi show are rejoicing as they can meet four stars from the franchise. Arthur Darvill played Rory Williams, one of the Eleventh Doctor’s companions. He’ll be at the event Saturday and Sunday.
Karen Gillan, also of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” played Amy Pond, a primary companion to the Eleventh Doctor. She will be at the event on Sunday. Alex Kingston played River Song. You also know her from “ER.” She will be at the event on Saturday and Sunday. Matt Smith played the Eleventh Doctor. He will be at the event on Sunday.
AIMEE GARCIA
You know this actress from her roles as Veronica Palmero on the ABC sitcom “George Lopez,” Jamie Batista on the Showtime drama “Dexter” and Ella Lopez on the Fox/Netflix drama “Lucifer.” She will be at Motor City Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday.
ANNA JAY
Another wrestler fans will recognize. Anna Jay is on “All Elite Wrestling” (AEW). She will be at Comic Con on Saturday and Sunday.
DANNY LLOYD

KEVIN MCNALLY
This actor starred as Mr. Joshamee Gibbs alongside Johnny Depp in all five Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies. He will be at Comic Con all three days.
