Months after her sexually explicit MMS video leaked online, Bhojpuri playback singer Shilpi Raj is making headlines again for her shocking cryptic Facebook post in which she talks about giving up on life. In her post, she wrote that she no longer felt like living in the world and asked for forgiveness.
“I couldn’t do anything (1) neither in studies (2) nor in music…what I was and what I have become now, to be honest today I became a puppet, I don’t understand what to do (mother)…Only you were the one, who stopped me…but now… I live in this world, please forgive me!” read Shilpi Raj’s now-deleted Facebook post, loosely translated from Hindi.
Her post raised eyebrows, with fans expressing concern about the singer’s current state of mind and what she’s up to. While many people thought that Shilpi would take extreme steps to take her own life, she clarified that she wrote down her thoughts under duress. “I did not intend to kill myself. I wrote this post under the pressure of work. I am absolutely fine now,” she said, as quoted by News18.
In April, Shilpi’s MMS video created a huge buzz on the internet. The singer was seen indulging in sexual acts with her alleged boyfriend Vijay Chauhan. As soon as her video went viral on social media platforms, a teary-eyed Shilpi made a live video appeal to fans, asking them to stop sharing her video online.
A few days later after the leaked MMS controversy, Shilpi vehemently denied being involved in the video, saying that someone was trying to bring her down. She also said that her crying video is from a year ago and said she has no idea why her crying video is doing the rounds on the internet.
