As for her backstory, Lizzie still comes from the aristocratic Braddock family. In this version of the story, her father James Braddock was the Director General of SHIELD’s British division, while her brother Brian worked as a STRIKE agent. During his time as a STRIKE agent, Brian appears to have encountered the Otherworld, a dimension based on the mythical Avalon that is closely related to the Captain Britain mythos. As on Earth-616, much of Lizzie’s family perished in an explosion.
Due to Lizzie’s legendary family history, other STRIKE agents held some resentment towards her. Still, she’s proven time and time again that she’s more than just a non-baby. In CAPTAIN CARTER, Lizzie helped the titular character confront Hydra agents trying to destabilize the country and stopped the corrupt Prime Minister Harry Williams, who was actually a vampire in disguise named John Falsworth.
While trying to take down Falsworth, who is trying to turn the UK into an authoritarian state, Carter is detained by STRIKE. With the help of Earth-76’s Tony Stark, aka Iron Man, Lizzie frees Carter and uncovers the truth about Falsworth. Lizzie became the Deputy General Director of STRIKE after this battle.
