Manoj Muntashir gets security from Mumbai Police over threats to his life [Check Deets]

Adipurush has been making a lot of headlines for the past few months. Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan lead role which is directed by About Raut has been on the receiving end for some time. The dialogues of Adipurush towards the characterization of famous and iconic people in the Hindu epic Ramayana as well as shoddy VFX have been called out for many things. Bollywood Lyricist Manoj Muntashir who wrote the dialogues in the film was directed towards the Chapri language used in the film. He defended the same and later stated that changes would be made. Manoj Muntashir gets security amid backlash and life threats

In a shocking turn of events, due to bad dialogues in Adipurush which were not well received, Manoj Muntashir started receiving threats. According to an entertainment news portal, Manoj Muntashir Shukla sought police protection as he expressed fears that he was in danger amid the uproar surrounding Adipurush. Finally, according to a news agency, the Mumbai police have decided to provide him protection. The portal claimed that the Mumbai Police is currently investigating the same. Manoj Muntashir received a lot of criticism from netizens on social media. In the film, there is a dialogue spoken by Lord Hanuman with Indrajit setting his tail on fire, which did not go down well with the audience. Lord Hanuman (played by Devdatta Nage) says, “Kapda tere baap ka. Tel tere baap ka. Aag bhi tere baap ki. Toh jalegi bhi tere baap ki.” The dialogue was called Chhapri by the audience. This is just one dialogue and there are many that have been criticized in the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer. Manoj Muntashir defends himself amid backlash; later confirms the changes

In an interview to a news portal, Manoj Muntashir said that it was not a mistake. The songwriter and writer claims it was thought out and planned meticulously. He said it’s simplified for a reason. Manoj later wrote a heartfelt note in a tweet where he wrote that out of around 4000 lines written, around 5 lines were shouted and focused by the audience. He said why he did not get praise for the depiction of Maa Sita’s chastity which was done very well.
