Makers of the Prabhas-Kriti Sanon starrer plagiarized artwork without giving due compensation to the artist? This is the truth

Adipurush Starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh is one of the most awaited movies. The mega-budget film directed by Om Raut is slated to release on June 16, 2023. It has been in the making for a while and Prabhas’ fans are waiting to see him back on the big screen as soon as possible. Adipurush is based on Ramayana with Prabhas name is Raghava, Saif Ali Khan is Lankesh and Kriti Sanon is Janaki. On the occasion of Ram Navami, the makers of Adipurush have released a new poster which shows the cast as Lord Ram, Sita and Sunny Singh as Laxman. This poster has now received negative attention as an independent artist has accused the creators of plagiarism. Team Adipurush accused of plagiarism

On Reddit, Pratik Sanghar posted a post stating that the piece is very similar to what he did. In a long note, he introduced himself as a conceptual artist from India. He wrote that a year ago he did his research on the possible appearance of Lord Sri Ram for the Ramayana epic and accused the official concept artist of Adipurush of literally stealing his work by comparing it to something similar and calling it his own. He said he was neither informed nor compensated for the same. He also promised to share links to his works. Netizens are divided on this issue. Many sympathize with him and hope he gets what he deserves. While one of the comments read “It doesn’t seem like TP Vijayan is in any way related to Adipurush. It seems more like an individual trying to associate himself with a project for obvious reasons.”

But it seems Pratik Sanghar soon realized that the work was not plagiarized by the Adipurush team. As a side note few hours ago it was revealed by him that the guy is pretending to work on the big project and the Adipurush team has nothing to do with it. His message read: “It’s me, Pratik Sanghar, whose art has been plagiarized. Thanks to a redditer for bringing this information to light. From the research I found out that these guys are pretending to work on this big project. He has also plagiarized other artists’ works, claiming them as his own, while pretending to work on those projects. When that’s not true. So the No Adipurush team has not used my artwork. I just want this cleared up!!” That clears the air.

Earlier, the team of Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan and Sunny Singh was heavily trolled for the CGI and VFX used in the film’s teaser. Saif Ali Khan’s look in the film also received heavy backlash.
