Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s Liger is a complete disappointment at the theatres. The film failed to attract the audience from Day 1 and was unanimously panned by critics and audience alike. On its 12th day at the theatres, Liger managed to rake in Rs 58 lakh in all languages. The film is sinking and hardly has a few more days of theatrical run left.

VIJAY DEVERAKONDA’S LIGER IS A COMPLETE WASHOUT

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is an action entertainer made on a huge scale. The film hit the theatres in five languages on August 25.

Even though Liger got off to a great start at the box office with Rs 33 crore on its opening day, the negative word of mouth drowned the film. From Day 2, the film has been witnessing a drop in terms of collections. Liger made Rs 58 lakh on its 12th day at the cinemas.

VIJAY DEVERAKONDA AND PURI JAGANNADH TO COMPENSATE DISTRIBUTORS

Liger distributor Warangal Srinu revealed that Puri Jagannadh had promised to look into the losses incurred by the film. The director will repay money to bear the losses. Similarly, reports are rife that Vijay Deverakonda has decided to forego Rs 6 crore from his fee to help his producers, Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur.

Liger is a sports entertainer with Vijay Deverakonda essaying the role of an MMA fighter. The film, also co-produced by Karan Johar, marked Ananya Panday’s debut in Telugu.
