Disney+Hotstar has been entertaining the audience with one of the biggest comedy shows of the year with Hotstar Specials’ Pop Kaun that features comedy legends like Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Chunky Panday, Saurabh Shukla, the Late Satish Kaushik along with Kunal Kemmu, Nupur Sanon and Jamie Lever. Working with a big cast is no news for Kunal, especially when it comes to comedy but the people around for company sure make a huge difference. Talking about his show, Kunal revealed that he felt like it’s a masterclass working with the legends of comedy.
Kunal Kemmu reveals that shooting for Pop Kaun was like being in a ‘comedy school’
Recently, Kunal Kapoor opened up about how every day felt like a new learning process. He added that it felt like being in a comedy school, with never-a-dull moment on set. He said, ”The fact that they have been in the industry for so long and have witnessed the evolution of the genre while remaining just as funny, if not funnier, is inspiring in my opinion. It is commendable how they have maintained and carried themselves throughout the years while still being able to produce such high-calibre work.”
Produced by Yam Productions, created and directed by Farhad Samji, Hotstar Specials’ Pop Kaun features comedy stalwarts navigating through a world of madness and confusion. The show says, ‘Ek baap ke bahut bette hote hain but yahaan par ek bete ke bahot baap dikhenge’, and it started streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on March 17.
