Bollywood’s ace filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular and controversial chat show Koffee With Karan will soon be back with its Seventh season. The show has given us many memorable moments from celebrity gossip and controversies as many popular celebrities from Hindi and South Indian film industry have come into the previous shows.

The show first aired on19th November 2004 and it was the second longest-running talk show after “Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan” on Indian Hindi-language television. It concluded its sixth season on 17th March 2019 which made headlines for all the wrong reasons due to nepotism factor, which re-sparked the debate, especially after the sad demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the year 2020.

At that time, reports had stated that the makers of Karan Johar’s show have decided to pull the plug in the wake of severe criticism online, but latest buzz is that the show is all set to make a huge comeback.

The show also got into a big trouble after its one of controversial episodes in which Indian cricketers Hardik Pandeya and KL Rahul were the guest, and while answering a question of KJO, Hardik made some misogynistic and sexist comments which led to a huge controversy. Later, the all-rounder took to Twitter and apologized for hurting people’s sentiments. Both Hardik and Rahul were suspended by BCCI, which was lifted after some time and they were fined Rs. 20  Lakhs.

While on one side a section of people always criticize the show and KJO, on the other side, fans of the show are all excited after hearing the news of the show’s return. People love to watch the show due to its interesting concept where various veteran and young actors and filmmakers come to the show and as per show’s concept, Karan ask personal questions to them and there is also a rapid fire round in the show, in which the celebrities have to give answer quickly and who answers fast wins a gift hamper.

From Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan to Prabahs and Rana Daggubati many celebrities have sat in the controversial couch. Now as the latest buzz is that the show is all set to make a huge comeback, fans are really excited to know the guests which are going to appear in the show.

Well, just like the previous seasons, this season is also going to be a star-studded occasion as it will feature Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and many others. South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna, who is all set to maker her Hindi film debut with Mission Majnu, will also make her first appearance in the show.

Reportedly, Bollywood’s newlywed and most adorable star couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will also make their first on-screen appearance after their wedding in Season 7. It is also reported that Bollywood’s young divas Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor, who are often seen traveling and working out together, will grace the couch in the first episode of this season.

Where & When to Watch?

As per sources, Karna Johar is currently busy in finishing key portions of his upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in May. Following the completion of the film’s current schedule, Karan will begin work on his chat show.

The show’s pre- production work is said to be in full swing, with shooting set to begin in mid-May. Although the makers of the show haven’t revealed the release date of the show, according to reports, the Season 7 of Koffee With Karan will premiere on the Star Network in June this year.
