Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor returns to acting in her second web series with Brown after a break of three years. The actor will play Rita Brown, a recovering alcoholic Kolkata police officer, in the dark drama. Karisma recently discussed how difficult it was to get recognition during earlier times as compared to now. She highlights the fact that social media has changed the game and it has now made it easier for people to get noticed.

She also viewed each of her movies as a milestone in the direction of her career. Talking about the same, she told Film Companion, “Today you are so easily recognized with Instagram and social media. We had to slog it out to get noticed. Every movie, be it a hit, a blockbuster, a flop or meaningful cinema, everything contributed to my career.”
She further added, “I enjoyed doing all my David Ji (David Dhawan) movies as much as I enjoyed working with Yash Ji (Yash Chopra) and Shyam Ji (Shyam Benegal). It was a different time and I would say each movie was special.”
Karisma Kapoor last appeared in the role of a single mother in the web series Mentalhood in 2020. She has teamed up with Abhinay Deo for Brown, which is scheduled to have its debut in this year. The filmmaker is known for movies like Delhi Belly and Force 2.
