The Night Manager starring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur was released last week to rave reviews, especially from the fraternity. In fact, filmmaker-producer Karan Johar seems quite impressed with the work as the producer has decided to team up with the show’s director, Sandeep Modi. According to recent reports, Karan Johar and its banner Dharma Productions have apparently signed a two-movie deal with Karan Johar.

A recent report in Pinkvilla quoted a source revealing details of this deal as saying, “Sandeep Modi has been working on a script for the last two years and things are now on paper regarding the story. His next directorial is a big budget action film for Dharma Production. While the script is now more or less locked up, the film will enter the pre-production phase by the summer of this year as the team is looking to make a big action movie.”
While casting details have not yet been revealed, the source continued, “It will be a big cast movie and will enter the casting phase this summer. got idea from Karan Johar.As for the film’s shooting schedule, we hear that the film will hit the floor at the end of this year.
Coming to The Night Manager, the show is currently streaming on Disney+Hotstar and features Aditya Roy Kapur in the role of a spy, along with Anil Kapoor as a feared gangster and Sobhita Dhulipala as the latter’s girlfriend. The show is an Indian adaptation of John Le Carre’s novel of the same name.
As for Karan Johar, the filmmaker is currently preparing for the release of his much-discussed directorial film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, while Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan are expected to star in the supporting cast. The film is scheduled for release on July 28, 2023.
