Karan Johar gets cryptic about ‘ilzaam’ amid backlash over Anushka Sharma’s career sabotaging video; He says “Hum jhunkne walon mein se nahi”

Recently, he was in the news again for the wrong reason. A video of him talking about how he doesn’t want to Anushka Sharma to be in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi went viral. It was an old video where he admitted that he wanted to kill Anushka Sharma’s career as he advised Aditya Chopra not to cast her in the film. He then said that when he saw her work in Band Bajaa Baraat, he was proved wrong and felt embarrassed that he had spoiled the chart of an outstanding talent like Anushka Sharma. Karan Johar reacts to the controversy?

In his Insta stories, he wrote a poem where he talks about accusations, lies and more. He wrote that he is not one of those who would bow down to all the negativity around. His note read, “Laga lo ilzaam, hum jhukne waalon mein se nahi.” He also wrote that no matter how much they try to slander and portray him in a bad light, he is not among those who would die. As the video went viral, many like Kangana Ranaut, Apurva Asrani and Vivek Agnihotri responded to KJo’s claims about Anushka Sharma’s career. The Emergency actress reacted to the video saying, “Iss chacha choudhary ko bas yahi ek kaam hai (this uncle only does such things).” Apurva Asrani said it was a worthy point in the raging debate inside and outside. The Kashmir Files director tweeted, “If Bollywood is in a gutter, it’s because of some people’s dirty ‘behind the scenes’ politics against talented outsiders.”

Earlier, Karan Johar was in the news after Priyanka Chopra revealed in a podcast that she is looking for a way out of Bollywood, which has cornered her. She mentioned that she had a beef with some people in Bollywood and many pointed out that she was talking about Karan Johar.
