Kapil Sharma is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Zwigato. The trailer of the heart-warming emotional film is finally out. After the release of the trailer, the actor-comedian is now busy promoting the film which showcases the story and day-to-day film struggles of a food delivery boy. The film talks about a unique aspect which is not considered in Indian cinema, but director Nandita Das decided to raise it in a film. As Kapil Sharma plays the role of a delivery boy, he reveals his unforgettable experience with a delivery boy.
The film has already garnered a lot of attention and praise even before its release. It also premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Busan Film Festival. At the Zwigato trailer launch in Mumbai, Kapil Sharma spoke about why he chose to shoot the film in Bhubaneswar, sharing his Zwigato experience. At the same time, he also revealed how one day he saved a delivery boy from being pulled by his boss at work.
Sharing an anecdote Kapil Sharma said that one day his wife ordered a cake through a delivery partner. When the man arrived at his doorstep, he learned that the cake was spoiled and told Mrs Sharma that he would get a new cake in exchange. When Kapil learned about the incident, he asked his wife to stop the delivery man who had just reached the elevator and was about to take him down. The comedian accepted the spoiled cake which was upside down as he has to cut it and eat it, he didn’t care about the presentation because it was important for him to eat the cake.
He took the step of not returning the cake to save the delivery man’s job, otherwise he would be scolded for not making a careful delivery. Kapil Sharma revealed that working on Zwigato prompted him to take the action that day, otherwise he would have thought it was a process of exchanging the product if it was broken. He said that while working on this film, he learned what delivery agents go through every day.
Ziwagato is a heart-warming and thought-provoking film directed by Nandita Das. The film stars Kapil Sharma Shahana Goswami and Tusshar Acharya in lead roles. It is produced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives. Zwigato will be delivered to your nearest theaters on March 17, 2023.
