Tanu Weds Manu Actress Kangana Ranaut was asked about her thoughts on Bollywood films that are not working with audiences right now. It became a huge thing in Entertainment News. In an interview with Aaj Tak, the actress said that it allows for different kinds of analysis about the films and their performances. Kangana said that all the films that have done well are because of their connection with Indian roots.

Kangana set an example with Kantara. She said that the film was based on devotion and spirituality, which was very well showcased in the Rishabh Shetty starrer. She also talks about Ponniyin Selvan 1 which is about Cholas.

Talking about how Bollywood films don’t work at all, Kangana Ranaut said that the industry has drifted far away from its Indian culture. Since the movies are western, people no longer find the movies relatable, which affects the business. She further added, without naming Dhaakad, “ilm. Meri bhi iss saal ek film nahin chali hain. Usse bhi mujhe yehi seekh mili ki sayad bohot hi westernized character tha jisse log identify nahin kar payein,” Hindustan Times reported.
