Kangana Ranaut and Madhur Bhandarkar to shake hands?

According to a report in Mid-Day, director Madhur Bhandarkar is planning another female-centric film after his upcoming release, Babli Bouncer, starring Tamannaah Bhatia. The said film is supposed to be based on a real Kashmiri singer who was apparently killed by terrorists and is very keen to get the 4x friend National award winner Kangana Ranaut on board for the lead role. However, the report also states that the fate of recent female-centric films has given a producer Firoz Nadiadwala cold feet and the project can be put on the back burner. There is also the issue that the producer has not been able to release a film after Welcome Back.

Kangana Ranaut defends Dhaakad as a wash

Kangana Ranaut recently posted a screenshot on her Instagram story with a link to a dodgy website, labeling a bunch of recently released films as ‘flops’ to defend Dhaakad as the biggest wash of the year at the box office. Sharing the screenshot, she wrote, “Every day I wake up to hundreds of articles about Daakad being a failure… and no one is talking about these big disasters… any specific reason?” To set the record straight though, Gangubai Kathiawadi is a pure hit, and JugJugg Jeeyo is a semi-hit.
