Self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan aka KRK was recently granted bail by a Mumbai court on Wednesday following his arrests in his controversial tweets in 2020 and a fornication case in 2021. He took to Twitter to inform to his followers that he had returned home safely and had no intention of retaliating against anyone.
“The media creates new stories. I am back and safe in my home. I don’t need revenge from anyone. I forgot whatever bad thing happened to me. I believe it’s written in my destiny,” KRK tweeted after deleting his tweet in which he had written, “I’m back for my revenge.”

On the same day KRK was released on bail, his son Faisal Kamaal appealed to Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and Devendra Fadnavis to save his father’s life. He claimed that there was some conspiracy against his father and people were torturing him to kill him in Mumbai.
On August 29, KRK was arrested by the police over his derogatory tweets towards Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor in 2020. Within the same week, he was arrested again after a fitness trainer alleged that KRK poured her drink, touched her inappropriately and lit up his genitals while trying to have sex with her.
KRK left Thane Jail on September 8 on a personal bond of Rs 15,000 with surety or cash bond of the same amount. The court ordered him to mark his appearance at the respective police station on the second and fourth Mondays between 10 and 11 a.m. until indictment or for 60 days, whichever is less.
