On Tuesday (November 8, 2022), Louis Theroux sat down with Yungblug, real name Dominic Harrison, to discuss a variety of topics including his personal life, career and his relationship with his fans.

During the episode, the two visited the musician’s family home in Doncaster, where Lewis met Jungblood’s parents and two younger siblings.

Lewis brought up the sensitive subject of Jungblood’s upbringing during the conversation, which the musician called “tumultuous.”

At one point, the singer got emotional while talking about his childhood and said he pours a lot of his feelings into the songs he creates.

Jungblood added that the family dynamic has inspired a lot of his music, adding that he loves them no matter what.

“We were yelling at each other, too much,” Youngblood’s father Justin said in the episode. “I had anger issues and I still go to therapy every week. The last few years have been much calmer, but I needed therapy to keep me in check.”

After hearing about Yungblood’s upbringing, Lewis said in the episode, “Talking to Dom’s family, I felt like I got a glimpse of a household full of love, one that’s gone through its share of worry, but also its share of healing, and how all of this very much fueled Dom’s music.
