However, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and producer Asit Modi have been in the limelight lately for all the wrong reasons. And here comes another shock. Jennifer Mistry Bansival, who played the role of Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi for almost 15 years, has now quit the series. She also reportedly accused the makers of sexual harassment.

As reported by Etimes, Jennifer Misty Bansival quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and even filed a complaint against producer Asit Modi and a case against project manager Sohail Ramani and executive producer Jatin Bajaj for sexual harassment. The actress confirmed the news to the portal and even revealed what exactly made her file the lawsuit. She revealed that she shot her last on March 6. Jennifer Mistry Bansival has revealed that she was subjected to humiliation at the hands of Sohail Ramani and Jatin Bajaj. She said she asked for half a day on Holi as it was her anniversary but it was not given. She said adjustments were made for the male actors, but despite her pleas, she was not allowed to leave the sets. She then reiterated and stated that Sohail Ramani had asked her to leave the sets four times. She then said that Jatin Bajaj tried to obstruct her car. She said, “It was March 7, my and Holly’s wedding anniversary, when the incident happened. I had informed in advance that I wanted half a day as my daughter is really looking forward to Holi. I was asked to get off the set four times until Sohail Ramani and the executive producer tried to stop my car by standing behind it and not allowing me to leave the set.” She called the set an “extremely male chauvinistic place”.
In addition, she also revealed how during her pregnancy she was fired because her colleague was leaving. She said that although she was willing to work until 9 months into her pregnancy, she was asked to leave. Talking about the sexual harassment allegations, she said that producer Asit Modi had made many advances towards her. She was quoted as saying, “Asit Modi has sexually assaulted me many times in the past. At first I ignored all his statements due to lack of work. But that’s enough now, I won’t take it anymore.”
Asit Modi’s reaction on the same is still awaited.
