[ad_1]

We interview the cast and creators of the AppleTV+ series Shrinking, including Jason Segel, Jessica Williams, Brett Goldstein and more.

Shrinkage is an excellent series in the tradition of Ted Lasso which combines emotion and personal growth with humor for a story that is both uplifting and heartfelt. The series follows Jimmy Laird (Jason Segel), a psychiatrist grieving after the death of his wife. After succumbing to medication and depression, Jimmy decides to let his guard down and tell his patients the straight truth, even if it’s not the best medical advice. When it somehow works, Jimmy embarks on a new path in treating his patients and family that doesn’t always go as expected. Shrinkage is a great series and will be an instant hit with everyone involved.

I have to talk about Shrinkage with the cast and creative team behind the series. Creators Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein discussed the similarities and differences between this series and Ted Lasso as well as how they used real life therapy and treatment techniques as the basis for what is seen in the series. Producer Neil Goldman talks about bringing Harrison Ford to the cast of this series and how much fun he is on set. Lucita Maxwell, who plays Jimmy’s daughter Alice, talks about working opposite Ford. Krista Miller talks about working with her husband, Bill Lawrence again, and how fantastic her character is. Jessica Williams talks about playing Gabby and carpool karaoke with Harrison Ford. Co-writer and star Jason Segel talks about the nature of the series, what he and everyone else hopes to get out of the project, and how excited he is to do it.
