Recently, Jasmin Bhasin opened up about the subject saying, “Violence, action and crime subjects are dominating OTT and film space do you agree? Most of the audience are liking such projects, do you think it is an escapism into another world which is not a part of our daily lives? We call it interesting cinema/ entertainment inspired by real life incident. For example, The Kashmir Files, Delhi Crime, Talwar, Bheed, The Kerala Story and watching them can be very disturbing too,” she said.

The actress also maintained that while many celebrities are exploring the wide range of content on OTT and appreciating the medium for its versatile nature, she is one of them who believes that the unnecessary inclusion of violence is an issue to be addressed. She added, “Violence, action and crime subjects’ ratio is more on OTT compared to films. The audiences are liking real stories be it The Kashmir Files or The Kerala Story. Even Talwar and Bheed were appreciated. If you ask me personally, such films are disturbing, thinking that this is the bitter truth but still audiences like to watch these films in the name of good storytelling.”

At the same time, the actress maintained that it only for the strong hearted. She added, “It is important that you don’t get affected or take it personally. At the end of the day, we, as an audience, should know that we are watching cinema.”
