The actress’s father, producer Boney Kapoor rubbished the rumors regarding Janhvi Kapoor’s debut in Kollywood.
There were reports in the media that Janhvi will enter Tamil Cinema by making her debut with the film Paiyaa 2. The film will be directed by Linguswamy and will feature Vishal in the lead role. Reports claim that director Linguswamy has offered Janhvi the female lead. However, Boney Kapoor put all the rumors surrounding her daughter to rest. He rubbished all the baseless news about Janhvi’s Tamil debut.

Popular Indian film producer Boney Kapoor on Friday morning took to Twitter to react to the news. He rubbished reports stating that his daughter Janhvi Kapoor has no commitments for Tamil films at present. He further urged the media to stop spreading false rumours. This means that Janhvi Kapoor will not be helming Paiyaa 2 and has no upcoming Tamil film in her credits. She will continue working in Bollywood after starting her career there with Dhadak in 2018.
Talking about her southern career earlier, it was reported that she might make her Telugu debut with Vijay Deverakonda for Liger directed by Puri Jagannad. Later the movie features Bollywood actor Ananya Pandey in the lead role. Meanwhile, there is strong buzzword Janhvi Kapoor will be making her debut in Telugu cinema along with RRR actor Jr. NTR. The untitled film will be directed by Koratala Shiva.
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen opposite Varun Dhawan in Bawaal. She also has a sports drama Mr. And Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao.
