It’s the kind of movie we need right now

DC are anxious to return to favor with new movie, ‘The Flash’, after suffering blows with ‘Black Adam’ and Shazam! The Fury of the Gods’ in the box office.

DC desperately need a positive reception and strong promotion of their newest release, ‘The Flash’, in order to come at all close to Marvel’s box office acclaim.

The entertainment giant is looking to rebound with star appearances from Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck in their latest superhero movie which features two very different Batmans from the multiverse.

Their most recent high-value publicity stunt has come in the form of a rave review from one of Hollywood’s finest actors, Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise’s review of ‘The Flash’

Back in February, Tom Cruise met with Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav to talk about how good ‘The Flash’ is, asking for a copy so he could watch it at home, since he didn’t want to wait until June 16.

Evidently, they knew this was a great promotional act that could come in handy as the movie’s release date loomed.

A Warner rep stayed with the actor and producer until it was over to make sure there would be no leaks to the press or to other parties.

Cruise‘s reaction was a surprise to all after he watched an early screening of the new release. The A-lister said that the movie was so good that he wanted to call its director, Andy Muschietti.

“‘The Flash’ is everything you want in a movie” said Cruise.

He went as far as saying that the feature is “the kind of movie we need right now.”

The actor’s glowing review of the movie came shortly after his film, Top Gun: Maverick, which was a sequel to the 1986 movie, Top Gun, received six Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
