“The energy they bring is incredible and I can’t wait to meet them and face them.”
Ethan Horvath admits his first experience at Kenilworth Road last season played a part in his move on a season-long loan!
The 27-year-old was among Nottingham Forest’s substitutes in April and it was fair to say the atmosphere at Kenilworth Road left its mark on Eton as he sat down to discuss his move at The Brache.
“It was the first time I came to the stadium and I think the best word I can use for it is ‘experience’, it was a fantastic experience. Whether things are going well or not, when the fans walk in the door, the energy they bring is incredible and I can’t wait to meet them and walk in front of them.”
With the added help of a chat with manager Nathan Jones beforehand, his decision was made.
“From the first conversation I had with the manager telling me his goals and ambitions for the club, to one day reach the Premier League, it made me think that this is something I want to be a part of.
“It’s history and Luton is a club that’s growing in every possible way, so after the first conversation I had with him it made me think I want to be part of what’s happening at Luton because it’s in rise.”
Horvath made 11 appearances for Forest in all competitions last season, but with the World Cup looming he is hoping to make as many appearances as possible in a Luton shirt.
“I’d say that’s at the top of the list,” the US international said. “The World Cup is coming up so obviously I want to play regularly for that. Ultimately I want to be a part of an organization and team that believe what they preach.
“My first chat with the manager was really positive and pretty much from that first chat in my head I said, well, Luton is where I want to go. I feel I can develop my name and grow as a person here and they will help me do that.
