Interview: Dhanush, with The Russo Brothers (The Gray Man)

(Might have posted this comment more than once)

First question – their answer is a load of nonsense. By that logic, piracy is more affordable than Netflix also and preserves your movies for way longer.

The best prints to so many tamizh movies are still on piracy sites, not on some streaming platform!

Also Netflix & Amazon don’t have pay-per-view, so theatres in TN are definitely way more affordable than a netflix or MUBI subscription, IF the audience is only interested in that ONE Dhanush or Vijay film. Otherwise, they’ll be paying for a whole bunch of other movies and TV shows that they don’t want. They might appreciate the bargain later but that’s not what they set out to do.

Most importantly, its kinda their job as filmmakers to tell us what the best way it is to watch their film and that’s always – ALWAYS going to be the big screen especially with the right kind of sound and projection.

Creating that level of experience at home with a home theatre is way more expensive than getting a ticket. Getting a smartphone or computer with a viable internet connection for NETFLIX is way more expensive than getting a ticket, atleast here.

Fuck these bozos, if you pardon my french.
