“HPU helped me get to where I am now by setting me up for success in my summer internship. I was able to communicate and present myself in an effective and professional manner. HPU’s professors in the fashion merchandising department taught me how to manage projects and handle challenges. HPU’s curriculum exposed me to the business side of the fashion industry, which prepared me for the work I completed at my internship. The Office of Career and Professional Development helped me prepare my resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile and set me up for success when it came to finding internship opportunities.”

“My most impactful mentor at HPU is Dr. Victoria Brown, assistant professor of home furnishings and interior design. Dr. Brown helped me plan out my future career path and introduced me to many opportunities in the fashion industry. She supports me and is always willing to help me in any way.”
What has your internship experience been like, and how is it preparing you for your future?:
“My internship experience this summer was very exciting. I gained hands-on experience on projects in the fashion industry that I never thought I would work on before graduating college. My internship provided great networking opportunities, and my colleagues in the office were supportive and inspired me to succeed in my future career. During my internship, I navigated working in a fast-paced environment. I learned so many useful skills, and I can confidently say I am prepared to be a leader in my industry.”
