While we don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade considering I’m a Celebrity 2022 has pretty much only just started, every good thing must come to an end.
I’m a Celebrity started earlier than usual this year, due to the Qatar World Cup starting at the end of the month.
So, what’s that done to the date of the final? When might it be?
When might the I’m a Celebrity final be?
Fans are looking at an earlier finish due to the earlier start, so the final is likely to be around Sunday November 27.
This is an educated guess, though, as nothing has been confirmed yet.
It is likely to be November 27 because this series, the 22nd, has 22 episodes (in 2022 too – are we seeing a pattern here?).
Because the series launched on November 6 and it airs every night, 22 episodes will take us to Sunday 27.
The beauty of maths.
At 22 episodes long, this year’s is slightly longer than the 2021 series, which only had 19 episodes – and season 20, which saw 20 episodes.
The finale is typically a bumper episode, clocking in at around one and a half hours long, with the last four celebrities eagerly awaiting the public’s verdict on who deserves to be King or Queen of the Jungle.
Despite all vying for the crown, they don’t actually get much else for winning…
Still, whoever wins this year will get the honour of being the first jungle monarch since 2019 – the 2020 and 2021 series crowned a King and a Queen of the Castle, after switching filming locations to Gwyrch Castle in Wales.
The previous winners of I’m a Celeb were Giovanna Fletcher in 2020 and Emmerdale’s Danny Miller in 2021.
I’m a Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
