After scoring a hit with Good Luck Jerry, Janhvi Kapoor will be seen showcasing her acting skills in the upcoming film Mili. However, the actress said that shooting for the film took a toll on her mental health. She said she got sick and was on strong painkillers.
Janhvi was quoted by a news agency as having nightmares of being locked in a cold and dark place. She added that she would come home after filming and go to sleep and dream that she was locked in a freezer. She said that she was on strong painkillers for almost two or three days and their director also got sick.
She also said that it was difficult for her to spend 15 hours in a freezer and cry the whole time. She said she gained 7kg for the role and shot for her freezing scenes in minus 15 degree temperature.
Janhvi also revealed how she chooses her scripts. What works for the 25-year-old is that she likes to learn and do more things physically. She said she learned to fly a helicopter, play cricket, Bihari dialect and visit real life places.
Mili is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Helen by director Mathukutty Xavier, which tells the story of a woman who is locked in a freezer and fights for her life. Janhvi shot for the film for 20 days straight in a freezer. The film is directed by the same director of the original film and produced by Boney Kapoor.
