Aastha Choudhary told Bollywood Life, “Our friendship has changed a lot over the decade. When we started working we were both immature as we were quite young. We had our creative differences. But our relationship was always filled with respect. I knew I could always count on him. If I needed a suggestion or something, I could just call him and ask him. Siddharth Shukla had a great career as a model before joining television, doing commercials for some leading brands across sectors. Aastha Choudhary reveals that he was never arrogant about his work. “No, he has never been arrogant or elitist given his portfolio. Television and modeling are two different worlds. On television, we had to live a character day after day. Like others, he had bad days and would get upset if he felt it wasn’t working out. Siddharth was a perfectionist. She also remembers how he never hesitated to go out of his way to help someone if he felt close to that person. She says this extends not only to co-workers, but even to a spot boy or someone from production. “He cared about every person he felt connected to. He always addressed them. I’d say it did even more than anyone would expect, and I loved that quality. As a newcomer, I rarely expressed myself in the production house. I worked that extra mile. After a while my health was badly affected. Siddharth told me to prioritize my well-being and occasionally spoke on my behalf in front of the team. Not just for me, he did this for everyone close,” says Aasta.

Talking about Bigg Boss 13 and the huge fame it brought her, she says his raw appeal has struck a chord. “I know several actors who looked the part in this show. But Sid was real all along. People loved him for his TV characters, but his real side just made millions. No one will ever achieve such stardom from Bigg Boss, this season was something else altogether,” she says.

One of the sad cases in recent times is how people close to celebrities are trolled after their death. Commenting on this, Aastha Choudhary said that social media has entered our lives so much that we will never go back to normal. She said: “It’s because of the cheap internet (laughs).
