It will be one year since Siddharth Shukla’s death. Although we miss him deeply, it is also amazing to see how the love for him grows manifold in the hearts of fans and audiences. Siddharth Shukla’s career, be it modeling or Bigg Boss, has always been top notch. If he won hearts as Shivraj Shekhar in Balika Vadhu, he was an absolute rage after Bigg Boss 13. Aastha Chaudhary, who was his first co-star in Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Naa, was kind enough to share some memories of their decade-long friendship that was based on mutual respect. She reveals that the star has been confident enough since his debut. Aastha Choudhary told Bollywood Life, “Our friendship has changed a lot over the decade. When we started working we were both immature as we were quite young. We had our creative differences. But our relationship was always filled with respect. I knew I could always count on him. If I needed a suggestion or something, I could just call him and ask him. We never talked regularly, but when we did it was like old friends catching up.” Also Read – When Siddharth Shukla was accused of drunk driving and beating a man; but the truth came out later and shocked everyone

Siddharth Shukla had a great career as a model before joining television, doing commercials for some leading brands across sectors. Aastha Choudhary reveals that he was never arrogant about his work. “No, he has never been arrogant or elitist given his portfolio. Television and modeling are two different worlds. On television, we had to live a character day after day. Like others, he had bad days and would get upset if he felt it wasn’t working out. Siddharth was a perfectionist. We never knew about his achievements like his Gladrags win or being the best model in the world. Siddharth was headstrong and opinionated from the start, but never arrogant. Yes, he was very rigid in his thoughts.” Also Read – Siddharth Shukla-Aseem Riaz, Pratik Sehajpal-Nishant Bhatt, Kapil Sharma-Mika Singh and more TV bros who made people sit up and take notice

She also remembers how he never hesitated to go out of his way to help someone if he felt close to that person. She says this extends not only to co-workers, but even to a spot boy or someone from production. “He cared about every person he felt connected to. He always addressed them. I’d say it did even more than anyone would expect, and I loved that quality. As a newcomer, I rarely expressed myself in the production house. I worked that extra mile. After a while my health was badly affected. Siddharth told me to prioritize my well-being and occasionally spoke on my behalf in front of the team. Not just for me, he did this for everyone close,” says Aasta.

Talking about Bigg Boss 13 and the huge fame it brought her, she says his raw appeal has struck a chord. “I know several actors who looked the part in this show. But Sid was real all along. People loved him for his TV characters, but his real side just made millions. No one will ever achieve such stardom from Bigg Boss, this season was something else altogether,” she says.

One of the sad cases in recent times is how people close to celebrities are trolled after their death. Commenting on this, Aastha Choudhary said that social media has entered our lives so much that we will never go back to normal. She said: “It’s because of the cheap internet (laughs). People don’t want to admit that people may have different perceptions and that’s okay. They forgot that actors are people too. This makes it difficult for us to heal and move Na. “
