There are times when we don’t want anyone to see our very private photos and videos so in order to add an extra layer of privacy, Google has recently rolled out an important feature that helps in hiding your sensitive photos from other people’s eye.

If you want to hide or protect your private photos, follow the steps mentioned below.

Here’s how to hide your photos:

1. Go to Google Photos app

2. Click on the Library icon

3. Click on Utilities and then Locked Folder

4. In order to set up the Locked Folder, you have to unlock the device using the passcode.

5. You can now move your sensitive images into the folder

Here’s how to move the photos to the Locked Folder:

1. Open the image you wish to move to the locked folder

2. Go to the three-dot menu

3. Now, select the option ‘Move to Locked Folder’ and your photo will be moved to folder

All these photos which are now saved in the folder are protected by a lock screen password. These photos will not appear in the photo grid area. This option is right now available only for Pixel smartphones but the company said that it will bring the same feature for all Android phones by the end of this year.
