Team Scotland has named 33 athletes for Birmingham 2022
Laura Moore has talked about her hopes with Team Scotland in Birmingham and why he feels there is “unfinished business” with the Commonwealth Games.

The world champions are looming soon in Oregon, but we spoke to Laura at the Diamond League meeting in Birmingham specifically about this summer’s competition at Alexander Stadium.
“I’ve seen my situation around Birmingham described as ‘unfinished business’ and I have to agree with that because that’s how I feel,” she said.
“I was very young at Glasgow 2014 but it still didn’t go the way I hoped in the 1500m final at Hampden. Four years later, when Gold Coast 2018 rolled around, I was in the final stages of completing my degree at the University of Glasgow.
“So I would be very happy to win a medal for Team Scotland at Birmingham 2022. To get on that podium in the Scotland jersey is a big goal.
“My family will be here and there is a large contingent making travel plans. Family support means so much and I’m really looking forward to having that support at the Alexander Stadium.

Neil Gourley finished sixth at the World Indoors earlier this year and is now selected for the outdoor event in Eugene.
He is also targeting his first Commonwealth Games with Scotland in Birmingham and hopes to represent Great Britain and North Dakota at the European Championships after that to make it four major events in six months.

Discus thrower Nick Percy was “ecstatic” to be called up for his second World Championships in Athletics for Team Great Britain.
Nick will follow this up with his second Commonwealth Games experience for Team Scotland when he competes at Birmingham 2022.
“It’s a great honor to have achieved World Champion selection,” he told BBC Radio Solent.
That was never the primary goal this season. It would just be a bonus. This is my first time breaking into the high ranks and I feel like I can be competitive with the big boys. British Athletics have shown faith in me.
The 27-year-old, who lives on the Isle of Wight, won his fifth British title with a personal best Scottish record throw of 65.00m at the UK Athletics Championships in Manchester last month.
