It’s been a pretty fun year Tollywood at Rankingwith film industry facing more ups than downs. First and foremost, it took a while for audiences to return to theaters in the first quarter of 2022, and when it did, the next two quarters saw a lukewarm response. However, there are nine clean hits, including five blockbusters, which clearly highlight that moviegoers were ready to return to the theaters, just less so Telugu movie excited them than in recent years. Tollywood Box Office 2022 – January to September

The Tollywood working film features Bangarraju, DJ Tillu, RRR, F3, Major, Bimbisara, Sita Ramam, Karthikeya 2 and Oke Oka Jeevitham of which RRR, DJ Tillu, Bimbisara, Sita Ramam and Karthikeya 2 eventually became in blockbusters, with the former and the latter also being commercial successes across India, thus completing a decent financial year for Tollywood based on these nine films alone. On the other hand, the slightly less favorable performance of expensive ventures like Sarkaru Vaari Paata, Bheemla Nayak, Khiladi and Ramarao on Duty rattled the industry a bit.
