It’s a no-brainer that ever since the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) were dropped into the crypto world, they have completely changed the way we look at assets. For the uninitiated, NFTs are a type of digital asset which uses blockchain to record the ownership of assets.
The collectibles enthusiasts have been eager to hop onto the NFT bandwagon through all forms of arts, like paintings, videos, music, designs etc.
And that’s not all. considering the massive hype around NFTs, many Indian celebrities, too, have launched their own collectibles in the form of digital assets.

1. Amitabh Bachchan
The legendary Big B has been one of the first Bollywood actors to hop on the NFT bandwagon. Earlier in November 2021, Amitabh Bachchan auctioned some of his own collectibles in the form of NFTs, besides his father’s iconic poem ‘Madhushala’, which was a recording in Big B’s voice. He launched his collectibles on beyondlife.club.
Amongst the personal collectibles auctioned in the form of NFTs, his vintage movie posters which were autographed by Big B himself, were included as well. At the auction, the items reportedly were sold for ₹7.18 crore approximately.
2. Salman Khan
Talking of Indian celebrities and not naming Salman Khan, isn’t it nearly impossible?
Earlier this year in October 2021, Salman Khan partnered with BollyCoin, a Bollywood NFT marketplace, to launch his NFT collections. He had tweeted to announce his NFT collection.

As per reports, close to 1 million Bolly tokens were sold just within 3 hours of the launch!
And in the same month, Salman Khan launched India’s first-ever crypto token started by micro-content platform Chingari called GARI.
3. Yuvraj Singh
The fan-favourite cricketer Yuvraj Singh is amongst the latest entrants into the NFT space, after he announced the same on his birthday this month (12th December 2021).

Though a lot of details aren’t out yet, in November 2021 it was announced that Kamal Haasan was joining the NFT space with his own collections. Through Lotus Media Entertainment, the superstar has joined hands with a digital collectibles platform called Fantico to launch his NFT series. The series is slated to be launched at kamal.fantico.io, where the actor’s fans will be able to buy memorabilia and souvenirs.
Meanwhile, Fantico is also expected to launch a game-based metaverse wherein Haasan will have his own avatar. Certainly, his fans must be eagerly waiting for it!
5. Rajinikanth
The legendary actor Rajinikanth is also amongst the Indian superstars who have joined the hype behind NFT. In July 2021, Rajinikanth partnered with Singapore-based NFT marketplace Diginoor.io to launch his movie collectibles based on the 2007 Tamil action thriller ‘Shivaji the Boss’.
On the marketplace Diginoor.io, users can purchase their favourite movie moments using a credit/debit card or even the cryptocurrency of their own choice.
6. Rohit Sharma
India’s newly appointed white-ball captain Rohit Sharma has recently joined the NFT craze. Just a few days back his personal collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the digital collectables website FanCraze was announced. FanCraze is a consumer-facing brand of Fraze Technologies that had recently even joined hands and became the official partner with the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Memorabilia from the batsman’s collection of centuries, the ICC Golden Bat from the 2019 ICC World Cup that Sharma won, the ball used to pick his first IPL hat-trick for the Deccan Chargers in 2009 against Mumbai Indians are some of the items that will be up for grabs as NFTs. Surely, Rohit Sharma’s fans can’t keep calm!
