Aamir Khan has always had a reputation for providing audiences with quality content throughout his prolific career spanning over three decades. As we celebrate 35 years of the birth of a genius (in Indian cinema), we feel that his very name is synonymous with excellence in cinema, daringly different films and brilliant acting finesse. Considering his illustrious and distinguished film career, it is a universal fact that Aamir is a proponent of cinema for social change, a man who is known for taking on tough projects and challenging subjects that he believes challenge the problems of contemporary society. Dangal, PK and 3 Idiots being prime examples.
While Aamir Khan’s films boast great entertainment value over the years, the thoughtful actor strongly believes that this ‘entertainment’ can also be used fairly and can be a great contribution in nation building and creating a healthy progressive society.

Gold to Gold hota hai… chhora laave ya chhori – Dangal
Dangal turned out to be a pro-feminist account of how women from even the most restrictive sections of Indian society fight the stigma of patriarchy.
The clothes are too tight, the shirt is too tight…the clothes change too much, how much work is done – Peepli Live

Jaise deewar pe bhagwan ka photo lagate hai na, taaki kauno moote nahi … hum iyaan lagata hoon, taaki kauno peete nahi – PK
Rajkumar Hirani’s PK explores one of the most undeniable practices in our society – religious superstition. Khan’s character PK, an alien lost in the human world, brings to light the absurdities of practices that are accepted without question. From erecting a Shiva linga out of ordinary stones to prove that students will pray to it on their way to class, to speaking out against the unquestioned authority of so-called pandits and yogis and the “horoscopes” they give, PK humorously examines the serious issues of man-made superstition and blind faith that plague Indian society.
He is undeniably a perfect combination of good looks, brain power and talent which has earned him the nickname ‘The Perfectionist’. But he is all that and more. Of course, an actor by profession and a humanitarian by desire!
