National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah called Times Now’s Navika Kumar “BJP’s one-sided person” as he refused to continue his interview on the controversial TV channel.
This happened after Kumar sought an answer from Abdullah about his time as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir in 1989. Abdullah asked, “What is your interview about?”
Kumar replied, “The interviewer is asking me about Kashmir.”
By then, Abdullah had decided to back out of the interview, saying, “Take that away. I’m not ready to give her an interview. She is a completely one sided person of BJP.
Although Kumar is now used to her guests calling her the BJP spokesperson, she seemed slightly taken aback by Abdullah calling her a BJP person. She asked, “I am a BJP person?”
The video has already gone viral on social media, with users filming spots of the controversial host.

One wrote, “He (Abdullah) destroyed her (Kumar) in seconds.” Another wrote, “Whoever thinks Navika is behaving less like a journalist and more like a BJP spokesperson should RT.”
According to another user, “Navika Kumar with her bad moderation on her show has created problems for Sharma. Now she is causing hate in her studio and Farooq Abdullah walks away leaving her to her theatrics!!!”

Kumar has always been accused of carrying the BJP banner in the guise of a journalist. She was in the news recently after now-suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma made objectionable comments about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on her show, Kumar was slammed for not intervening.
The Supreme Court questioned her role, contributing to the issue sparking a global diplomatic row.
