“Let’s begin with news on the film Adipurush, starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, whose trailer received a grand launch Sunday. From the look of it, the mythological epic, directed by the National Award-winning filmmaker Om Raut, is an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, which also stars Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles.
The teaser shows Lord Ram, ready to destroy the empire of evil built by Saif Ali Khan’s Lankesh. Ramayana is a story that most Indians know by heart so each moment in the teaser feels lived-in and part of Indian heritage, from Ravan showing off his 10 heads to Lord Hanuman landing in Lanka to Lord Ram walking the Ram Setu with the vaanar sena.”
“Prabhas, who is headlining the upcoming mythological epic Adipurush, on Sunday said when he was offered to play the titular part of Lord Ram, he was “frightened.” The film is an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana.
Prabhas said, “We are here to take Lord Ram’s blessings for Adipurush. I was really frightened to do this character. I called up Om after three days and said if I make some mistake… With a lot of love, respect and fear we did this film. May Lord Ram bless us”
Also starring Kriti Sanon, Sunny Kaushal, and Saif Ali Khan, Adipurush will release in theatres on January 12 in multiple languages. “

“After declaring that their film is a hit, Dharma Productions has now released a new version of ‘Kesariya’ from Brahmastra Part One Shiva. Labelling it the ‘dance mix’ version, the song is quite different from the popular version. This one has Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor dancing in the streets of Varanasi which is dramatically different from what we saw in the theatres. The song’s music video has a vibe which is probably more suited to an end-credits song.
The lyrics are different, however, the ‘love storiyaa’ bit continues to be a part of the song. Composed by Pritam and written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, the dance mix version of the song has been sung by Shashwat Singh and Antara Mitra.”

Veteran actor Asha Parekh was on Friday honoured with the Dada Saheb Phalke award, the highest recognition in the field of Indian cinema.
Parekh was presented the award by President Droupadi Murmu during the 68th National Film Awards ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan here.
The veteran said she is grateful to receive the prestigious award a day before her 80th birthday. “It is a huge honour to have received the Dada Saheb Phalke award. It makes me very grateful that the recognition comes to me just one day before my 80th birthday.
