At the trailer launch of the film Bloody Daddy, director Ali Abbas Zafar spoke about the film. Ali shared – “Content is evolving and in the past three years, we have all seen how audiences’ preferences have changed. Also, when you make content for OTT, it’s a bigger responsibility to mount it at a larger scale and international level. As for Bloody Daddy, we didn’t want to tamper it to suit it for theatres, and thus decided to have a direct-to-digital release.”

While the actor earlier got back at trolls, now her team has claimed that the price of her neckpiece has gone up from Rs 200 crore to Rs 276 crore. The necklace’s shape is that of two intertwined crocodiles and Urvashi had earlier shared that it is an iconic piece by Cartier. However, a jewellery expert named Arundhati De-Sheth alleged that the actor didn’t sport the original piece. She shared on Instagram – “Representing our nation and pretending to be wearing the real thing. When it’s been hastily crafted in the back of beyond.”

Recently, singer Arijit Singh schooled a fan for trying to push their baby towards the stage during his concert. A video of the incident doing the rounds online shows the singer pausing the performance and explaining to the fan why this could be dangerous. The video shows Arijit addressing the fan, who remains off-screen. He had his stage microphone switched on, which meant that the entire arena could hear what he said. Arijit said – “Why are you risking her life? She’s a kid. She was very happy, but she doesn’t want to do this, you want to do this. Why are you doing this to her?” The crowd cheered on the singer and he resumed the concert.

Meanwhile, Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has filed a lawsuit against K Sera Sera Production Chairman Satish Panchariya and former employee Amar Thakkar for alleged defrauding, forgery, and slander. The complaint, filed by him through his legal counsel, Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee, emphasises the “serious nature” of the accused’s offence. Siddiquee stated, “It is true that my client has filed a criminal complaint before the Amboli Police station against them for plotting and conspiring and for committing serious cognizable and non-bailable offences of cheating, criminal misappropriation of funds, criminal breach of trust, forgery, and defamation. The accused persons used a forged and fabricated document to mislead the Learned Magistrate at Andheri Court and obtain a favourable Order under Section 156(3) CrPC. ”

Lastly, Manoj Bajpayee’s latest release Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai is inspired by real-life events, where he plays a lawyer PC Solanki who takes on a godman in a rape case. The actor recently spoke about his journey from playing ‘characters’ to now being the ‘hero’ of his films. Manoj told indianexpress.com, “I am still playing the characters, they, in turn, have become heroes. Nothing drastic has changed, except, earlier I would be one of the three characters, now I am leading the story. And it’s such a great thing to happen. And if it’s because of me, I am glad because somewhere people are now writing heroes as characters.”
