Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik, who gained acclaim with his characters such as Calendar in Mr India and Pappu Pager in Deewana Masana, passed away in Delhi on Wednesday, 8th March He was 66. Kaushik’s last rites were performed at Versova crematorium in Mumbai on Thursday, 9th March. Many celebrities from the Hindi film industry paid their last respects to the veteran star. Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Satish Shah, Johnny Lever and Anu Malik among many others visited Kaushik’s house in Mumbai. The actor was brought to Mumbai after his post-mortem was conducted in Delhi. Reports stated cardiac arrest as the cause of death.

 

Actor Neena Gupta shared an emotional tribute for Satish Kaushik. She took to Instagram and posted a video, where she talked about their friendship, which dates back to their college days. She also extended support to Kaushik’s wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika. In the video, Neena said – “I woke up to very sad news. There’s only one person in the whole world who called me Nancy, and I used to call him Kaushikan. We’ve shared a long association since our college days, whether we met often or not. He’s no more now.”

 

After enjoying her stint as a fashion designer, Masaba Gupta debuted as an actor with a biographical drama Masaba Masaba. And if juggling between two professions was not enough, she also launched her cosmetic brand last year. Sharing more about her entrepreneurial journey, Masaba gives all the credit to her mother, veteran actor Neena Gupta for supporting her. She added, “When I told her I wanted to become an actor, she said given the industry, after a certain age, the game is over. She pushed me to think more creatively. She has been such a strong force for me throughout.”

 

Moving on. Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt recently slammed the paparazzi for violating her privacy by taking pictures of her when she was in her living room, oblivious to the men clicking her pictures. After Alia shared a note about the incident on social media, many celebrities came out in support. Now, her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor has spoken about how they are legally dealing with the whole situation. In a recent interview, Ranbir opened up about how the incident was ugly and said, “You cannot just shoot inside my house. That is my home and it was totally uncalled for. We are going through the correct legal ways of dealing with it. I don’t want to talk much about it.”

 

Two men were arrested recently for trespassing into Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s bungalow Mannat, and hid inside the actor’s makeup room for nearly eight hours, before being caught, police said. The duo identified as Pathan Sahil Salim Khan and Ram Saraf Kushwaha, who claimed to have come from Bharuch in Gujarat to meet the Pathaan star, were caught by security guards and handed over to the police. A case of trespassing and relevant offences has been registered against them under the Indian Penal Code and the investigation is ongoing. According to Mumbai Police, the trespassers had entered Mannat’s premises by scaling its outer wall.

 

Meanwhile, veteran Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday, 8th March took to his blog to share another update about his health, stating that for now, any physical activity has been forbidden by his doctors. The actor was recently flown from Hyderabad to Mumbai after suffering a rib injury and muscle tear on the sets of his upcoming film, Project K. Taking to his blog, Bachchan wrote, “Languishing in the environs of my home and the prevention from all kinds of physical activity, the inability to partake in the festivities of the day and the gaiety of Holi that was celebrated with such vigour has gone amiss. It has been so for years now.”

 

Actor Sushmita Sen on Wednesday, 8th March, revealed that she had been ‘cleared by her cardiologist’ to work out. The actor had taken fans by shock when she said that she had survived a major heart attack recently. Sushmita took to Instagram and posted a photo of herself stretching on a wheel. She captioned the picture, “Wheel of life…cleared by my cardiologist…so, stretching begins. What a feeling!” After sharing the news about her heart attack on Instagram, Sushmita Sen also conducted an Instagram Live for her anxious fans. She thanked her family, her doctors, and those who stood by her.
