In our top story. The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan was released on Thursday, 31st August, just days before the film is set to release. Jawan features SRK in a variety of avatars and combines elements of vigilante thrillers and masala entertainers. The film also appears to be taking place in multiple timelines, with Shah Rukh appearing as a soldier in one plotline, and a vigilante who inspires the public’s support in another. Nayanthara plays a cop tasked with tracking down the vigilante, but she also plays the romantic interest. Deepika Padukone and Vijay Sethupathi also play pivotal roles in the film. Jawan, directed by Atlee, will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on September 7th.
Moving on. Gadar 2, starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has been in theatres for about three weeks now and is still dominating the box office. According to early projections from industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 7.50 crore on Thursday, 31st August, taking its total to Rs 481.35 crore nett. The film first clashed with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer. Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl 2 later debuted in theatres on August 25th. However, the film did not have much impact on Gadar 2’s box office run. Helmed by Anil Sharma, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reprise their roles as Tara Singh and Sakina in Gadar 2. The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma in a pivotal role.

How do I take you seriously?” The episode in question was directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, but the show was created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
