Ewan McGregor and Mark Ruffalo are in a friendly competition, each representing their Disney franchise.
During an interview with Comicbook.com Ewan McGregor was asked if he’d ever want to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to which he firmly declined saying that, “I don’t know that I want to do that.”
He wants to do more than just Star Wars
He explained why “Because I love doing all different kinds of work. It’s true. I love to direct. I’d like to be in the theater again. I definitely want to do this again, you know, I’m in this Star Wars world. I feel like I don’t need another … I’m not looking for that anyway.”
He continued “That’s the beautiful thing about how passionate Disney, Lucasfilm, all of us are, who are involved with it is from the beginning is we try really hard not to let anything of the bad just to protect your experience of seeing it for the first time.”
Mark Ruffalo went hard on Star Wars storytelling
This comes after Mark Ruffalo threw jabs at the Star Wars franchise saying that in their universe the same story keeps on repeating itself.
Hayden Christensen and McGregor may have started the feud
It appears that the feud started way back when Hayden Christensen and McGregor were promoting the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, they pretty much said that the Star Wars universe and their fans were better than the MCU.
However, there hasn’t been a serious movie or series proposal for Ewan McGregor, so there is still much to think about until that happens.
