October 14, (THEWILL) – Popular radio personality and hype man, Do2dtun, has berated celebrities for choosing to pay condolences instead of supporting themselves.
Dotun lamented that celebrities are more energised when it comes to writing condolence messages than supporting one another. He wished the reverse could be the case or a situation where the same amount of energy is expended on both.
“If only we give the same energy we give condolences to support each other.. sigh! I am also guilty.. We will keep trying our best,” he tweeted.
This comes after the passing of reality TV star and actor, Rico Swavey, who died on Thursday morning, after a car crash on Tuesday.
The announcement of his demise attracted tributes for the late Rico with celebrities trying to outdo themselves.
Rico was placed on life support and his two colleagues-cum-pals, Tobi Bakre and Alex Unusual, solicited funds for his rising medical bills.
Many slammed celebrities for ignoring their own during dire situations when money is required only to flood social media with tributes when the worst has happened.
