On October 25, 1975, John took the stage at Dodger Stadium, becoming the first performer there since The Beatles nine years earlier. During that performance, the singer covered The Who’s “Pinball Wizard,” and many described the moment as John’s launch to stardom.

“I was the biggest I could be,” he said. “Being there again by myself and finishing the North American tour with three days at Dodgers Stadium – I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.”

The three-hour live show, called “Elton John: Farewell from Dodger Stadium,” will introduce the singer and include moments from his 1975 performance. He will also take the stage with Brandi Carlile, Kiki Dee and Dua Lipa, who collaborated with John on the recent hit song “Cold Heart (PNAU REMIX)” which reached no. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In a statement from Disney+, “Goodbye to Dodger Stadium” will serve as a “prelude” to a documentary about John that will be released sometime next year by Disney. In the documentary, fans can expect to see “unseen rehearsal and concert footage from the past 50 years, along with exclusive personal archives and interviews.”

“Elton John: Farewell from Dodger Stadium” will be produced by Fulwell 73 Productions and Rocket Entertainment.

It will air globally and exclusively live on Disney+ on November 20 at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT.

A Disney+ subscription costs $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year, and a bundle consisting of Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ costs $13.99 per month.

Disney is the parent company of ABC News and Good Morning America.
