As FDCI X Lakme Fashion Week commences its week-long event meant to showcase the Spring/Summer 2023 offerings, we are excited to see a number of designers and celebrity showstoppers on the first day of the event. From Kriti Sanon’s runway strut for Shantnu & Nikhil to Mrunal Thakur walking for Mishru, here are the names that are ready to captivate India’s fashion circles.

Known for their nature-inspired 3D embroidery, Mishru brings their collection ‘Form & Feeling’ to life with whimsical contemporary designs that are sure to keep us excited for summer. Actress Mrunal Thakur is expected to take the runway, riding high on the success of her recent film, Sita Ramam.
2. Diana Penty for Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan

After teaching us to have fun with fashion, the brand, helmed by Mohan, is bringing forward its collection titled ‘Life Is Beautiful’. With a bevy of exquisite hand-embroidered pieces, we are waiting to see what the designer has in store for us. Diana Penty will be gracing the ramp as the showstopper.
3. Diipa Büller-Khosla for Geisha Designs

Designer duo Shalini and Paras introduce their brand new collection titled ‘Luminescent’ that is expected to bring to life effervescent occasion wear. Inspired by the stars in the night sky, the collection will see influencer and entrepreneur Diipa Büller-Khosla in their showstopping design.
4. Sobhita Dhulipala for Logitech x Saaksha & Kinni

In a creative confluence of fashion and technology, Sobhita will be seen sporting a bold and experimental look from ‘Prism’–a collaborative collection by Logitech and designers Saaksha & Kinni.
Speaking on her appearance for Logitech, Sobhita said, “The ‘Prism’ collection makes the experience of working with colourful tech unique and exciting. I am kicked to be the showstopper for the Logitech showcase and can’t wait for the final presentation day at Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI for everyone to see!”
5. Kriti Sanon & Masoom Minawala for Shantnu & Nikhil

With a history of drapes and silhouettes meant for the lovers of all things modern, designer duo Shantnu & Nikhil occupy the coveted ‘last show’ slot for the opening day at FDCI X LFW. Titled ‘Capella’, the new bridal haute couture collection “took many years to formulate,” according to the designers. Not only are we excited for the show but also to see the two women who will be showstoppers for the last runway presentation of the day.
