As the crisis between Russia and Ukraine unfolds, many celebrities across the world are speaking about the matter. While not a lot of Indian celebrities are saying much on the issue, some have finally spoken up on what many are describing as a ‘World War III’ situation.

Priyanka Chopra is perhaps the most famous Indian name to have spoken up on the issue
Priyanka shared a video along with the caption, “The situation unfolding in Ukraine is terrifying. Innocent people living in fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones, while trying to navigate the uncertainty of the immediate future. It’s difficult to comprehend how in the modern world this could escalate to such a catastrophic point, but this is a consequential moment that will reverberate around the world.”

Since she is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, Priyanka also urged people to help the people in Ukraine.

We all know how big Sonu Sood’s heart is, given how much he helped people during COVID, be it migrant workers, or those in need of oxygen. Swara Bhasker, Gauahar Khan, and Nakuul Mehta are the other outspoken celebrities to have addressed the matter
Subtweeting a video of anti-war protestors in St. Petersburg, Russia, a lot of celebrities praised the Russian citizens who stood up against their government’s decision to invade Ukraine. Swara Bhasker was among them, as was TV actor Nakuul Mehta, who said, “This is what courage and humanity looks like.”
Gauahar Khan also praised the protestors’ actions, tweeting, “Common sense! Stand against bigotry, war, injustice, hatred! Stop it all.”

While we don’t know whether international pressure would be enough to put a stop to the violence unfolding, we sure hope that the world remains safe from another war.
