Based on years of extensive interviews, former Houston Chronicle beat writer and book author Evan Drelich is said to provide the definitive account of baseball’s most controversial franchise and how a modern baseball team really works.

Copies of Winning Fixes Everything: How Baseball’s Brightest Minds Created Sports’ Biggest Mess will be available for purchase at the event. The focus of this book is the Houston Astros. According to the author, the franchise was once led by general manager Jeff Luhnow, who created an environment that led to one of the worst cheating scandals in sports history. Through extensive interviews with players, managers and executives, book author Drelich reveals the rise and fall of the Astros led by Luhnow, who hired outsiders to turn the organization around as quickly and cheaply as possible. But even a World Series title couldn’t cover up the rot.
