Gender Neutral Clothing
CPHFW is known for their casual street-style clothing. Scandi fashion has always been more about casual mindfulness in trends and silhouettes. Relaxed and oversize patterns, above the knee length are predominantly offering alternatives in ready-to-wear. A style which is gender inclusive and more leaning towards hybrid fashion will be the era of future fashion.
Bermuda Shorts and Capris
Contemporary scandi brands were highly favourable towards Bermuda shorts and Capri trousers, although long denim skirts have been prevalent on the catwalk and in lookbooks in recent seasons, yet it was the oversized Bermudas getting more hyped at the CPHFW SS’24
Beach Trend
It’s the Scandinavian vibe, easygoing styles and mesh nod to the city-to-beach trend getting more highlighted. Straps, eyelets and metal studded multiple straps will be emerging in many upcoming trends. More earthy colours and relaxed fabrics with easy breezy dresses would get realistic to use.
Textured Minimalism
Going back to basics will be the evolution of simple textured styles. Make it leisure-oriented and cut down on textures by choosing plain fashion and silhouettes. A considerable amount of simple styles and clean cuts will be getting consolidated. Minimalist pieces with subdued styling are uplifted via subtle texture and surface interest with neutrals.
Low Key Luxury
Whether we call it an era of Quiet luxury or simple classic pieces, fashion is turning its direction towards the same slogan of keeping it low-key. Making laidback comfort through clothing is a real boom in the fashion industry lately. Scandi fashion is all about relaxed confidence and Uber cool sophistication and no one can ever object to that synergy. Head-to-toe simplicity in a style that exudes elegance.
Mary Jane
Ballerinas and Loafers made a round this season. Due to the popularity of ballet-inspired design, Mary Janes are set to continue to trend for SS’24. All kinds of flat sole iterations will be more visible. Classic designs of strappy, buckled and slide-in Mary Janes will be joining gladiators and sliders with an easy walking-a-mile mindset.
Last season was all about “Orange is the New Black” while this year is more of Low- key luxury fashion. Copenhagen Fashion Week is closer to realistic planet-friendly fashion and the global fashion world needs to learn a lot from that. From their runways which were happening in the streets of the Danish capital with impeccable street style or shows taking place on the sidewalk stretch, it’s known to go viral for the confidence of casual presentation and collections with ethical values intact. They continue with their knits, trippy subtly, minimalistic complication with easygoing fashion drops.
