Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen recently faced a significant health setback while filming the third season of her popular Disney Plus Hotstar series, Aarya, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. On March 2, Sushmita took to Instagram to reveal that she had experienced a heart attack. This revelation came as a shock to her fans and well-wishers worldwide. Recently, her sister-in-law and fellow actress, Charu Asopa, shared that Sushmita reached out to her doctors before notifying her family about the incident.

During an interview with ETimes, Charu recalled the incident and asserted, “Iske baare mein family mein kisi ko nahin pata tha because I think didi ne kisi ko bataya nahi tha. (No one in the family knew about this because I think she didn’t tell anyone about it). So when it happened, she was in Jaipur and before she could tell anyone, she herself called the doctors.”
Asopa further added, “When I got to know this, I called my mother-in-law and asked her about it and she told me that now she (Sushmita) is fine. No one expected it and everyone was shocked.” For the unversed, after the heart attack, Sushmita underwent an angioplasty procedure and had a stent implanted.
She also called Sen a “fighter” and stated that the entire family is proud of her. The actress said, “Ziana has many of her qualities. Ziana seems to be as strong as Sushmita.”
Coming to the professional front, besides Aarya 3, Sushmita also has Taali, a web show, in her kitty. Taali will be based on the life of Mumbai-based transgender activist Gauri Sawant. Meanwhile, Charu has recently made her comeback on the TV screens.
