Celebrity kids who’ve launched their own showbiz careers as Bobby Brazier joins EastEnders

Bobby Brazier, son of Jade Goody and Jeff Brazier has landed a role in EastEnders, and has explained that he is “very grateful” for the opportunity.

19-year-old Brazier is not the only young star to be born to famous parents and break out on his own. In fact, many of the famous actors and singers you know and love have well-known relatives.

Bobby Brazier joins Eastenders

Bobby Brazier, the son of later Big Brother star Jade Goody, and reality TV star Jeff Brazier, has secured a role on EastEnders as Freddie Slater.

18-year-old Freddie is the son of Maureen Slater and was last seen in Walford in 2006 when he and his mother left to start a new life. He is mischievous, but has a “heart of gold”, according to show bosses.

“I’m really excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders – so far it’s been perfect. Everybody has been so beautiful to me and made settling in easier than I could’ve hoped,” Brazier said of the role.

He continued on: “Stepping into the acting world has always been a vision of mine and doing that with EastEnders as a Slater is a blessing, I’m very grateful.”

Maya Hawke, whose full name is Maya Ray Thurman Hawke, is the daughter of Hollywood actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke. Hawke had a small role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but is mostly known for playing the much-loved Robin Buckley in Stranger Things.
