Davido, Anne Kiguta, Boniface Mwangi and more send messages of congratulations.
Nigerian musician and superstar has sent a message of congratulations to President-Elect William Ruto after the Supreme Court upheld the verdict of the August 9th elections.
Taking to social media, Davido said, “Congratulations to Dr William Samoei Ruto, on being declared 5th President of the Republic of Kenya. Also Congratulations to the people of Kenya! DEMOCRACY WINS AGAIN.”

Since the Supreme court’s verdict announcement, many celebrities have also congratulated the president including political activist Boniface Mwangi, news anchors Terryanne Chebet, Anne Kiguta and musician Reuben Kigame.

In his congratulatory message, Kigame said, “Congratulations to his Excellency William Ruto for being confirmed 5th president of The Republic of Kenya. We said we would respect the supreme court ruling and so do so now. We commit to contribute to the growth of our democracy by keeping his government accountable.”
Kigame’s sentiments with regard to upholding the laws of the land and the constitution were echoed by Boniface Mwangi who tweeted,” Congratulations President-elect William Ruto. May you always uphold and respect the constitution.”

Davido is not the only internationally recognised celebrity to congratulate the President-Elect. American musician Akon and Diamond Platnumz both congratulated William Ruto the day after the results were declared by the IEBC.
