MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — Women and teens looking for budget-friendly fashion options may be marking their calendars for what is billed as Milwaukee’s largest consignment event, Divine Consign.
The event is free to attend and will be held at the Brookfield Conference Center from Tuesday, March 7 to Saturday, March 11. Organizers say over 50,000 pre-loved items are available for sale at below-retail prices, Items include office attire, everyday essentials, jackets, dresses, athletic wear, teen attire, maternity clothes, shoes, accessories and more.
Divine Consign is unique to the area, created by two local moms who survived the pandemic and are working to help women earn extra money for their families by selling their unused wardrobes.
The event generates thousands of clothing donations for local women in need, as the event’s organizers say that they partner with local organizations to provide clothing donations after the event, including the Mount Mary Career Closet, Benedict Center – the Sister Program, Milwaukee Rescue Mission, Children’s Hospital, Lake Country Caring and others.
A press release from Divine Cosign says that shoppers can save up to 90% off retail prices, and on March 10 – 11, all items will be sold at 50% off.
They also note that another benefit of the event is to offer an environmentally conscious shopping choice, keeping clothes that are worn only once from ending up in landfills.
