Yash Raj Films’ Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand has gone past Baahubali: The Conclusion to become the all-time number-one Hindi film in India after its collections grew again on its sixth Friday! Speaking about its collections, in India the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has mounted Rs 1.07 crore nett yesterday. Meanwhile, it has also recorded $47.04 million in the overseas territories alone, while the nett collection in India stands at Rs 529.96 crore. The total worldwide gross is an incredible Rs 1028 crore. Among many others, Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda has also reacted on the achievement of the Siddharth Anand directorial.

On Saturday, Shobu Yarlagadda took to his official Twitter handle and shared a tweet, which read, “Congratulations to @iamsrk sir, #SiddharthAnand @yrf and the entire team of #Pathaan on crossing @BaahubaliMovie 2 Hindi NBOC. Records are meant to be broken and I am happy it was none other than @iamsrk who did it!”

 

In response, Yash Raj Films wrote from its official Twitter handle, “Nothing more thrilling than seeing how Indian cinema is thriving!!… Thank you  @Shobu_ for giving us a landmark film like @BaahubaliMovie directed by the visionary @ssrajamouli – it has inspired us to work harder,” followed by a red-heart emoticon.

 

 

 

Earlier in the day, Pathaan’s director Siddharth Anand had also reacted to the same. He had said, “It feels incredible that Pathaan is now the number one Hindi film in India today! The love and appreciation that has been showered on Pathaan by audiences is historic and it shows in the box office result. As a director, I’m proud that I made a film that has entertained people globally.”

 

For the unversed, released on January 25 this year, Pathaan marked the comeback of SRK on the big screens. Besides him, the film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles.
