There has been a lot of speculation about who will play the role of Dev in Brahmastra 2 starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. A few big names like Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh have come forward but nothing is official yet. It was also reported that KGF star Yash was being considered for the role. Director Ayan Mukerji has already spoken about Yash playing Dev in Brahmastra 2.

In his recent interview, when Ayan was asked about the same, he told India Today, “I love Yash. It would be great if he plays Dev. No, I’m kidding.” He also addressed the rumors of Ranveer playing Dev in the film. “There have been rumors about Ranveer Singh, the biggest rumor and other rumors about other actors, but I can’t say anything. The funny thing about Dev’s story is that it will come at the right time.” Earlier, Karan Johar rubbished rumors that Yash was being considered for the film.

According to reports, Hrithik is one of the top contenders for the role of Dev in Brahmastra 2. However, it is said that Hrithik may opt out of the film as he is doing Krrish 4. It was reported that if Hrithik quits, Ranveer may wants to step into Dev’s place.

Brahmastra Part One has become a star hit in the post-pandemic era. The film managed to collect over Rs 400 crore worldwide. Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo as Mohan Bhargav was highly appreciated by the fans as they got to see their favorite superstar on the big screen after a long gap of 4 years.

However, the film received a mixed response from audiences and critics. Although viewers found Ranbir and Alia’s performance shaky, they also criticized the film’s sloppy dialogues and confusing plot.
